Disney Desk Rep

I haven’t been very good about blogging, lately. I am thoroughly enjoying my time here in Anaheim, and seem forget to let everyone in on the goodness.

As many of you know, I am a Disney Desk Representative for The Walt Disney Company. You might be wondering what exactly is a Disney Desk, and what does a rep do? A DD is a location at some of Disney’s “Good Neighbor Hotels” where guests can purchase tickets to the Disneyland Resort and Disney California Adventure, receive vacation planning assistance, and have questions about the resort and surrounding area answered. Some DD locations even offer full concierge services: setting up tours, taxis, shuttles, etc.

As a DD Rep; I am assisting guests, answering questions, and making sales. DD is under the In-Market Sales division of The Walt Disney Company, a part of the company that I am very excited to work for and hope to advance in soon!! I am working on updating and polishing my resume, and I am working on applications for a few Professional Internship opportunities in the In-Market Sales department. The Professional Internships that I am hoping for will begin in January 2012, immediately following the Disney College Program.

A Thousand Apologies...

Yes, I suck. This has been established.

Things with Disney are going VERY well! I love my job and I am excited to go everyday! I'm the freak type that would rather be working than anything else, so I've let my manager know that he is welcome to schedule as much as he is legally allowed to, and if he wants to schedule me more, I promise not to report him!
I get to help guests everyday with purchasing tickets, vacation packages, and answering lots of questions. Finally, my ridiculous amounts of Disneyland knowledge is being put to the test! I still have a lot to learn about the area and what all Disneyland contains, but it's coming along!

In other news, I was royally dying when it came to the 10k portion of my training... I was getting stuck at the week that builds up to the 5 mile run. So I've restarted at 3 miles and building my way up again. I'm considering selling my soul to el diablo to make this whole 1/2 marathon thing happen, sometimes I feel like that's the only way it'll end up really happening!

Today's workout is a speed workout that I have used before...
Warm up 1 mile
Hard run 1/2 mile
Easy run 1/2 mile
Hard run 1/2 mile
Cool down 1/2 - 1 mile

I'm off!
