I am moving to California in August, and I don't know if you know this... but the cost of living in Southern California is a wee bit intense. I'm moving down there to work for Disney, the dream job, but in order to have the dream job... I have to start out pretty low on the totem pole and work my way up. Which I am MORE than happy to do! I am happy to sacrifice for a bit to make the dream happen, and in order to help with the transition I have been crazy careful about my spending. Well... today I may, or may have not, splurged on a few items. As I've said before, I LOVE music and I can't exercise without an amazing playlist. Well I have an old brick style iPod that is annoying as hell to take on my runs. I've dropped this guy on solid pavement on my runs, and against rocky paths on my hikes... I'm lucky it's not broken! I decided to purchase a 2GB iPod Shuffle. IT IS AMAZING!!!! It's just a tiny little thing that clips onto my shirt and I hardly notice that it's there! Life. Changed. I could not be happier with the purchase of this little device... and then I had to buy new headphones because I despise apple ear buds, so of course I had to order in-ear buds by Skullcandy. While on Amazon I noticed they had the protein powder flavor I've been looking for in stock and it was a great deal... so I had to order that, as well.
I'm very happy with the purchases I made, don't get me wrong. I needed these items and they will be well used... I just have this little twinge of guilt knowing what that money could be going toward for California. BLAST! Well looks like I'll have to whore myself out to more families... for babysitting and nannying, of course... what were you thinking?
